Special Materials of Shakandara

Metals

Crimsonian: Rare and exceptionally beautiful, this deep crimson metal requires special skill to successfully smelt from its reddish ore. Once prepared for forging, it makes for durable armors and razor sharp weapon blades.
Any armor or shield made of crimsonian is naturally resistant to rust. It is immune to all non-magical forms of rusting, and further receives a +2 circumstance bonus on saves versus magical rusting. Weapons forged from crimsonian receive a +1 natural enhancement bonus to damage due to the super-sharp edges the metal takes and holds. Crimsonian is prized for making keen and wounding weapons. Items not primarily made of metal are not meaningfully affected. (A longsword or a suit of chainmail is affected, while a spear or a suit of studded leather is not.) Crimsonian can never be used to inflict subdual damage, such as in merciful or exhausting weapons.
Crimsonian weighs the same as steel, has a hardness of 12, and has 30 hit points per inch of thickness.
Market Price Modifier: Armor +2,000 gp; weapon +1,500 gp.

Duergarite: Irradiated by the magic of the deep realms for thousands of years, the ore of this metal sheds a slight aura of darkness, enough to make normal lights appear as though in twilight. Named for the dwarves that first refined it and put it to use, the metal takes on a glossy, jet-black sheen when prepared for crafting.
Any armor or shield made of duergarite sheds a aura of darkness that is sufficient to grant a +2 bonus (unnamed) to hide checks. The metal is especially prized for making shadowed armor. Weapons forged from duergarite shed a globe of non-magical darkness in a 5' radius around them. Items not primarily made of metal are not meaningfully affected. (A longsword or a suit of chainmail is affected, while a spear or a suit of studded leather is not.) Duergarite can never be used in a magic item that uses light effects, such as blinding shields, daylight and command armors, or everbright weapons.
Duergarite weighs the same as steel, has a hardness of 10, and has 30 hit points per inch of thickness.
Market Price Modifier: Armor +2,000 gp; weapon +1,500 gp.
